Since the release of his newest collection of pop-rock Americana songs "Remedies," years of hard work are paying off for Douglas Cameron. Corporate radio in his hometown of Boise, ID, added his song "Half Bottle" to their playlist. Instrument super store Guitar Center is spinning "Half Bottle" in every one of their 173 stores nationwide, and opening slots for Shooter Jennings, Mat Kearney, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Alana Davis, and The Clumsy Lovers have allowed Douglas to reach an entirely different audience. The word is spreading like wildfire.

The impact of Douglas's songs on his fans was evident at the "Remedies" release party in Boise. Over 500 folks from across the West came to see the show, many purchasing airline tickets to attend. "That's an amazing feeling, to have people fly in to see your show. To know that the music has affected people like that is the greatest gift," Douglas said. It is a testament to the years he has put into writing heartfelt, relateable tales of his experiences in love, music, life and death. His honesty is refreshing, especially when dispensing passion-red lyrical bouquets like "Everything about you still makes me burn." His songs are inspiring, exuding the utmost passion while questioning the listener with passages like: "If I hold out my hands/ to those whose yesterdays were empty and lonley/ if I turn around to see/ find redemption in me?"

Road ready and road worthy, Cameron is excited to get back to the touring scene doing solo acoustic shows as well as full band shows across the Northwest and West Coast. Years on the road with touring act Stranger Neighbor allowed Douglas to win over fans in a live setting, the energy of his shows unfiltered and addicting. Armed with an engaging new album, radio play and the maturity and strength of his live performance, Douglas is ready to reconnect with his fans in their neck of the woods.

History of Stranger Neighbor:

Feb. '93 Moscow, Idaho: Doug strolls down Main street and his ears catch an amazing band rehearsing in the distance. He follows the sound and meets Big Time Adam, a six-piece band that inspired Doug from the second he met them. John Fricke was the trumpet player and actually lived next door to one of Doug's high school friends. A friendship is formed and great covers of Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" are performed between shifts at the Pizza Pipeline.

Jul. '94: Doug and some other friends are looking for a drummer to round out a new band. John introduces them to Bill Swartz who joins on drums and The Bedheads are formed. The Bedheads open for Big Time Adam, The Clumsy Lovers, Citizen Swing and other bands around the northwest. They also released one CD entitled "Therapy". John contributes great horn lines to the record and starts to jam live with the band.

May '96: The Bedheads split up as do Big Time Adam. John entertains thoughts of going to Texas and Doug wants to put together a new project. Casey Miller, a percussion student joins as does Levi Eckroth on bass. They all convince John to stay and take over a house gig at a local bar called The Capricorn.

Jul. '97: Levi leaves the band and wicked bass player Ryan gibler joins the lineup. The band plays 3 nights a week, every week. Popularity grows as do the lines out the door.

Jan. '98: SN travels to Vancouvber BC to record their debut album "Memories of This". Guitar virtuoso Steve Dawson produces and the album yields fan favorites "Our Road" and "Teach". The initial printing sells out.

Jun. '98: SN decides to hit the road and operations are moved to Denver, CO, a more central location for touring the US. SN tours hard playing over 180 shows a year.

Feb. '99: SN releases "SN Live", an album recorded by the band in their Denver living room and on the road at shows. Touring continues and SN scores opening slots for Big Head Todd and The Monsters, The Samples and Calobo. Chad Thomas begins to book for the band and takes over the road manager and soundman duties on the road.

Feb. '00: SN enters Colorado Sound Studios with producer Kenny James and Grammy winner Kevin Clock to record their third album "In This World". This album was done in five days. "In This World" posted numbers so appealing, that it landed them a distribution deal with USA IStop. "Cliffs of Spain" and "Simple Time" become heavily requested songs at shows and on Napster.

Nov. '00: Unfortunately, Casey leaves the band, but Kenny James of The Samples and P-Funk fame fills in on drums for a tour.

Jan. '01: SN hires a new drummer who is unfortunately let go in the middle of a tour due to lack of professionalism. Ryan, tired and burnt out, decides he is done as well. SN is now a duo.

Apr. '01: Doug and John enter Aspen Hills Studios to record an acoustic album and then soon after release "Everything That Matters". They produce, record and mix it all. Once done, they enter the song "Once Was" into a nationwide songwriting contest. SN wins the Grand Prize, thousands of dollars in cool music gear. They continue to tour as a duo, all the while continuing to look for the right musicians to complete the lineup.

Jun. '01: Old friend and keyboardist Rusty Tinder sees an SN show and is invited to jam for the evening. Being in a transitional period in life, Rusty is asked to join SN on the road. SN is now a three-piece.

Oct. '01: More old friends Brad Livingstone (drums) and Aidan Donohue (bass) join the band and touring continues. New doors are being opened and Doug and John feel good about having a full band again.

Dec. '01: Brad wrestles with and ultimately decides to leave the band. Doug, burnt out and tired decides SN should take a hiatus. He moves to Arizona while John goes back to Seattle.

Apr. '03: Doug leaves Arizona and heads for Seattle, where Casey lives as well. Over the past few years, casey has built an impressive home studio and right away they begin work on Doug's new album "The Consequences of My Choices". The album features brand new songs as well as some acoustic SN tunes with the full band treatment.

Jan. '04: Doug is booking shows as a solo act. He still books shows with John as well as with old friends The Matt Moon Band
